Therapist
Erica’s aim is to help her clients live a rich, full and meaningful life through psychological tools to handle thoughts and feelings. She enjoys listening to people and helping with them on their journey to wellness by providing useful strategies to overcome life's challenges.
Erica has a passion for helping clients overcome symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She continually ensures that she approaches her work through exposure and response prevention (ERP), an evidence-based treatment for OCD.
Dedicated to tailoring ERP, the gold standard treatment for OCD, Erica aims to support her clients by guiding them through the significant and often daunting steps toward achieving wellness.
Erica enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including adolescents and adults. She has supported individuals struggling with PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and domestic violence, bringing her expertise and compassion to each unique case.
Erica's therapy style is client-centred, and she uses an integrative approach in therapy that uses modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), art therapy, and Mindfulness. She is passionate about creating a warm, empathic, and safe environment in both therapy and assessment settings, and works closely with her clients to establish a positive working alliance.
She is passionate about mental health in vulnerable populations and working with youth and people with co-occurring diagnoses. Her background equips her to work with severe syndromes using a person-centered, strength-based focus to help clients overcome difficulties.
